Century Communities celebrates grand opening today

Today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Century Communities plans to celebrate the grand opening of its new Sage Canyon neighborhood in Mountain's Edge. Located in southwest Las Vegas, Mountain's Edge is one of the nation's top-rated master plans with hundreds of opportunities for fitness, recreation and outdoor activities.

Sage Canyon is Century Communities' first neighborhood in Mountain's Edge. It is located within walking distance to one of the community's most popular amenities, Nathaniel Jones Park. The neighborhood is made up of two-story homes that range from 2,228 to 2,643 square feet with as many as five bedrooms and as many as four baths.

"We are going to have a great time today, and welcome home shoppers and their families to start the Halloween and Nevada holidays off with us," said Mara Glaser, sales agent at Sage Canyon. "Stop by to enjoy refreshments, guided tours and Halloween candy," she said. "You can also enter to win an iPad Air 2, courtesy of our friends at Moen."

Glaser said home shoppers will also have a chance to experience the luxury standard features included in all Century Communities homes in Southern Nevada.

"Sage Canyon homes are built with standard paver driveways and walkways, which give them a stylish touch," she said. "Inside, you can choose the color of your interior walls as well as choose square or rounded corners. These things have a great impact on the style you create within your home."

As with every Century Communities home in Southern Nevada, Sage Canyon offers standard stainless steel appliances, granite kitchen countertops and gourmet kitchen islands, maple cabinetry, cultured marble vanity tops with integral square sinks and paver driveways and walkways. Additional standard features include covered patios offered per plan, and tile in every home's entry and wet areas. The neighborhood also offers pool-sized home sites.

Three floor plans will be available at Sage Canyon with one shown as a model. Each home includes a first-floor den that can be converted to a main-floor bed and bath and a second-floor loft that also can be converted to a bedroom. The 2455 and 2643 plans are available with optional courtyards and optional oversized 2½-car garages.

The neighborhood's 2643 plan includes an optional front courtyard and two standard rear patios to maximize opportunities for indoor-outdoor living.

"The standard patios are open to both the kitchen and the nook, which is perfect for breakfast on the patio or outdoor entertaining," Glaser said.

Sage Canyon is zoned for highly rated schools, including Wright Elementary School, Faiss Middle School and Sierra Vista High School.

"Southwest Las Vegas is one of the hottest areas of town to live in, and you'll see why as soon as you arrive," Glaser said. You are just a few minutes' drive from major employment centers, health care facilities and both Red Rock Canyon (National Conservation Area) and Spring Mountain Ranch State Park. Plus, Mountain's Edge has more than 500 acres of open space and parks, so there are lots of outdoor opportunities right in your own neighborhood."
