Harmony announces Malibu

Harmony Homes is expanding its Vista Cielo community in a growing area of North Las Vegas with its new development of 100 additional lots for what is slated to become Malibu, the fourth village in this planned community.

"We're excited to debut all-new designs in this latest addition to Vista Cielo, starting with three unique models we plan to unveil in February," said Harmony Homes President Robb Beville. "Malibu will enhance the comfort and luxury of the Vista Cielo community's other villages, including Laguna, Capistrano and Avalon."

The builder called Vista Cielo "one of the area's hidden treasures," with neighborhoods nestled neatly near Ann and Losee roads with convenient access to Interstate 15. Known for its community amenities, Vista Cielo has community park, children's playground, picnic area and plenty of open space, plus it is connected to the famed Neon to Nature regional recreation trail system.

Harmony Homes, one of Southern Nevada's leading and largest locally owned builders, has designed Malibu as an elegant collection of two-story homes with floor plans ranging from 1,924 square feet to 2,369 square feet. Prices start in the $200,000s.

Like all Harmony Homes designs, Malibu homes include standard features, such as gourmet kitchens with oversized islands, granite counters and rich maple cabinetry. Floor plans include 9-foot ceilings that create a sense of spaciousness on the homes' first floor and 8-foot ceilings on the second floor. Home designs also feature great rooms and versatile second-story lofts that provide plenty of room for families to play and grow, Beville said.

On the exterior, the builder's vision of sustainable living will be expressed through colorful desert landscaping with the latest in water-conserving drip-irrigation and solar energy systems. Additionally, he said they will come standard with attractive paver driveways and walkways.

All homes built by Harmony Homes are part of the builder's five-star energy certification, which includes energy-efficient features like radiant barriers to help reduce heat transfer through the roof and attic; low-E windows which help reflect heat away from the glass; vinyl window frames for superior insulation; and 14 SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating) heating, ventilation and cooling systems that hold the government-recommended 14 rating and use less energy per unit. Homes also feature sealed ducts and upgraded insulation to help reduce energy consumption. Harmony Homes was included in the 2013 Builder 100 recognizing the nation's best-selling homebuilders. The builder has sold more than 2,100 homes since it was formed in Southern Nevada in late 2008. It offers five neighborhoods throughout Southern Nevada, with one- and two-story homes priced from the low $200,000s and ranging from 1,801 to 2,973 square feet. All existing communities offer solar systems with SolarCity as well.

Harmony Homes is also offering one new community in Corona, Calif.
