Harmony to open Talus in Sunrise Highlands

Harmony Homes invites home shoppers to enjoy the scenery from Sunrise Mountain today when it unveils its Talus community on the east side of Las Vegas.

Harmony Homes is debuting four floor plans and three buyer-inspired models at Talus, which is near Vegas Valley Drive, just east of Hollywood Boulevard, at the base of Sunrise Mountain.

"I'm excited to invite homebuyers to see what Talus has to offer," said Harmony Homes President Robb Beville.

Talus' four floor plans range from 1,801 to 3,024 square feet, with prices starting in the low $200,000s. Residents enjoy convenient access to a neighborhood park as well as nearby recreation facilities, such as the Hollywood Regional Park, Royal Links Golf Course, the East Career and Technical Academy, Hollywood Aquatic Center and several shopping centers.

Talus is the first of two new Sunrise Highlands communities developed by Harmony Homes. This fall, the builder plans to start grading about 100 more lots to expand its popular Daybreak community near Hollywood Boulevard and Sahara Avenue. This Daybreak development is expected to open early 2016.

To deliver on the builder's vision of sustainable living, Talus homes feature desert landscaping in the front yard, with the latest in water-conserving drip irrigation systems. Capitalizing on Southern Nevada's abundant sunshine, all homes at Talus are prewired for solar energy systems.

The 2,573-square-foot model features an optional master retreat that extends the master bedroom with a serene space that can be used as a sitting room, TV room or simply as its name suggests — a retreat.

The 2,799-square-foot model at Talus comes with the option of a downstairs fourth bedroom in lieu of a den.

While three homes at Talus come standard with a two-car garage, standard paver driveways and walkways, the community's 3,024-square-foot model offers a standard three-car garage.

Standard features at Talus include gourmet kitchens with oversized islands, granite counters and rich maple cabinetry. Nine-foot ceilings create a sense of spaciousness on the homes' first and second floors.

All homes built by Harmony Homes are part of the builder's five-star-plus energy certification. Homes at Talus have a radiant barrier, insulated garage doors and vinyl windows with high-performance low-e glass. Other energy-efficient elements include GE Energy Star appliances, gas heating systems, water-saving plumbing fixtures, high-efficiency toilets, programmable thermostats, solar panels and 14-SEER air conditioners. Prices start in the low $200,000s.

To visit Talus, take U.S. Highway 95 to Charleston Boulevard and head east. From Charleston Boulevard, turn right on Hollywood Boulevard. Turn left on Vegas Valley Drive, and the community will be on the left. Models are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Monday, when they open at noon. Call the sales office at 702-522-7601 or visit harmonyhomes.com.
