Two- and four-legged residents love life at The Ogden

When Canadian-born, Las Vegas transplant Danielle Maxim started looking to purchase a home, she knew there was only one place she wanted to be: downtown Las Vegas. A registered nurse, Maxim recently purchased a two-bedroom, two-bath Garrison model at The Ogden after touring all the high rise condominiums in the area.

"It's 1,246 square feet of pure bliss," she said of her new home in The Ogden, where she and Mackenzie, her rescued six-year-old terrier mix, now call home. "The whole idea of a high-rise condominium appeals to me: low maintenance, amenities and security. The minute I walked into The Ogden, it had a warm feeling to it. Plus, it's got a killer view of the Strip and it's very dog-friendly. I immediately knew it was home. "

Maxim, who works at University Medical Center, appreciates The Ogden's proximity to the freeway, her work and, most importantly, the walkability of downtown. She and Mackenzie walk through the downtown neighborhood every day, meeting friends and new and interesting people.

"The Ogden is steps from restaurants, casinos, museums, arts, entertainment, music and shopping," said Maxim. "Living downtown reminds me of a mini New York City where you can walk to everything. Plus, The Ogden's amenities are amazing, including a rooftop pool, sky deck, fitness studio and security. Mackenzie and I especially appreciate the dog run area, and we notice how nice everyone is - both residents and staff. With dozens of other dogs living in the building, Mackenzie's social skills get a workout every day."

Maxim has already referred two friends who have purchased homes at The Ogden. "Personal recommendation is the ultimate endorsement," she said. "Mackenzie and I love everything about living downtown at The Ogden. I am so happy I moved here and have absolutely no regrets."

Homes at The Ogden range from a one-bedroom, 815-square-foot residence for $229,000 to a three-bedroom plus den 2,044-square-foot home for $629,000. Residences feature a modern design aesthetic in keeping with the architecture and the lifestyle vibe, private balconies and expansive views of downtown Las Vegas, The Strip and the mountains that frame the valley.

The Ogden's single-story, open floor plans offer flex spaces that can serve as a home office, den or yoga room, extra bedrooms for accommodating multi-generational family and guests, and spacious windows that fill interiors with natural light – all sought-after design features by millennials, professionals, empty-nesters, retirees – and even dogs.
