Nearly 15 years ago, Karen Bye was flying to Las Vegas every six weeks from Fargo, N.D., for a design project for one of her clients who was building one of the first homes in Siena, an age-restricted community in Summerlin. “I installed everything from furniture to accessories and when I went back home it was -40 degrees and I said, ‘this is absurd,”; ” she said.

About 90 percent of these addresses reflect the home purchase. Check the parcel number to make sure. Also, a few transactions do not reflect the market value of the homes. The information is provided by Accudata, a local research firm. For the complete listing, visit RJRealEstate.Vegas or on Facebook at www.facebook.com/RJRealEstateLV.

Get professional help when selling your inherited property

Q: I inherited a home with my siblings. The house is old and is not worth much. It’s also not in a good area of town. My dad had no will, so we have to pay for an attorney to put it through probate. Do we need a Realtor to help sell the house after we do this, or do we get one while we are in the process of putting it through probate?

Community has rules about satellite dishes

Q: The homeowners association requires a fee of $150 to authorize the setup of a satellite dish in case that I move and they would end up removing it and have to match the paint on the wall. That was not a required fee when I moved here. I believe that is a lot of money. The main electrical breaker is outside, I was informed the HOA is not responsible for that.

He has priced the property ridiculously high, so there is no chance it will be selling anytime soon, and he keeps telling us his elderly grandparents will be moving in, but we have not seen them. Nor do we expect to frankly. We have pretty much determined his grandparents do not exist, he is just telling us that to buy time as to why he is living in the place.

Law says HOA cannot prohibit rentals in community

Q: Just a quick question about rentals in our subdivision. We’ve been here for 12 years now and ever since the recession, a lot of the foreclosed homes in our housing track have been bought by Realtors and speculators and rented out. This has kind of helped keep our home values down some. Our homeowners association says there was no limit on rentals set in the bylaws, so there is no way they can stop owners from renting their homes. They say they can’t change the original rules. If enough owners, living in the
