SONS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION

The Signers Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution meets at 8 a.m. on the first Saturday of each month at Denny's, 3081 S. Maryland Parkway (243-8205).

CORAL ACADEMY OF SCIENCE

The Coral Academy of Science, a tuition-free public charter school that emphasizes science, math and technology, will have an open house from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday and an ice cream social from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 11 at 8185 Tamarus St. (822-0179).

LIED ANIMAL SHELTER CHIP & CLIP CLINIC

The Lied Animal Shelter will have a discount microchip and toenail clipping clinic from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at 655 N. Mojave Road. The cost will be $10 per pet, which includes a microchip implant and toenail clip; the cost for the toenail clip only is $5. All dogs must be on leashes and all cats must be in a carrier (384-3333).
