The Chicago West Side Club of Las Vegas, for people who lived on the West Side of Chicago, meets at 2 p.m. the first Sunday of each month at Sahara West Library, 9600 W. Sahara Ave. (369-5698).

BACKPACK GIVEAWAY CARNIVAL

The Las Vegas Resource Center is sponsoring a Backpack Giveaway Carnival where backpacks and school supplies will be given out from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at 6620 W. Katie Ave., located across the street from Decker Elementary School playground (673-4713).

JEWISH WAR VETERANS

The Murray L. Rosen Post of the Jewish War Veterans meets at noon on the fourth Sunday of the month at the City of Las Vegas Northwest Leisure Service Center, 3521 W. Durango Drive (341-7963).

BETA SIGMA PHI
