City sponsors family event at local pool

The city of Las Vegas Department of Leisure Services will sponsor Dash & Splash on Saturday at Pavilion Center Pool.

The family event will begin at the pool with a 1.5-mile run through Veterans Memorial Park and conclude with a 300-meter course swim.

All entrants will receive a goody bag, water and a participation ribbon.

The entry fee is $15 in advance or $20 on event day.

Check-in for the Dash & Splash event will begin at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at Pavilion Center Pool, 101 S. Pavilion Center Drive. The run will begin at 8 a.m.

There are no age restrictions, but each participant must be able to swim 300 meters.
