Capping It Off

It seems shoe designers have a bit of a toe fetish. There's the peep toe, the open toe, the pointed toe and now the capped toe. This fall, shoes with capped embellishments make ideal dancing partners with the wide-leg jean. They peek out from under the hem with a tone that says, "Don't forget about me."

The real idea behind the capped toe is to garner a double take; just another method shoe designers have implemented to ensure they get their share of accolades. Sans the cap, we'd be left with a plain old pump. Sometimes that's just what the style doctor ordered but not if you want to pop from head-to-capped toe. If that's you, consider these styles. Once again, this trend doesn't exercise income discrimination.
