• Image on Air: Join image every Friday morning when editor Susan Stapleton discusses the latest fashion and beauty trends with Melanie and Michael in the Morning on Sunny 106.5 FM beginning at 8:30 a.m.
• In the Trunk: Saks Fifth Avenue at Fashion Show mall will be showing its evening collections Sunday through Nov. 10 on the second level. On Nov. 9 -10, models will show the store's top designers from 1 to 4 p.m. The holiday season kicks off at Saks Wednesday with holiday music, the Trim-A-Home Shop and special guest Santa Claus. You can taste the new Godiva Chocoiste Collection and see dress designs by Nieves Lavi from 1 to 4 p.m. Beginning Thursday through Nov. 10, you can meet jewelry designer Corrina Gordon from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Lisa Mackey will be in store Thursday and Nov. 9 at the same time. On Thursday, John Hardy will hold a trunk show from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Purse Party: 1154 LILL Studio has come to Las Vegas. On Saturday, the custom design handbag company will host an open house at Las Vegas Paper Doll from noon to 5 p.m. Stop by and choose from more than 20 styles and more than 120 fabric swatches to create your one-of-a-kind LILL handbag. Macy's proves it when the department store shows the newest comfort shoes from Gentle Souls, Asgi, Geox, Tsubo, Merrell, Born and Ecco during the Comfort Your Sole event from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday in Women's Shoes on Level One. Enjoy live music, informal modeling and complimentary massages. Spend $100 or more on comfort shoes from participating designers at the event and you'll receive a $20 Macy's Gift Card.
• Queen for a Week: In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month the Emerald Dream Team, headed by Lana Fuchs of Lana Fuchs Couture, in association with Vicki Tashman of Pink-Link, is searching for 12 women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer and have a compelling story to tell. Chosen women, and a guest, will enjoy a week-long stay in Las Vegas, complete with makeovers, a new wardrobe and much more. Their week will end on New Year's Eve with the Emerald Dream Ball thrown in their honor. Applications will be taken through Thursday at emeralddreamball.com and winners will be announced Nov. 21.
• Art in Motion: Now through Jan. 15, fashion photographer Jerry Metellus' art exhibit, "Moshion," will be on display in the Grotto room at the Sahara West Library, 9600 W. Sahara Ave. The photo exhibition features dancers from the Nevada Ballet Theatre captured mid-air in the latest fashion trends.
• 40-Plus Model Search: The Eighth Annual More/Wilhelmina 40+ Model Search Las Vegas open call is taking place Nov. 10 from noon to 6 p.m. at the Talbots in Fashion Show mall. The top 10 finalists from across the country will be featured in a fashion spread in an upcoming issue of More magazine and will be flown to New York City to take part in a fashion show wearing clothes from designer Heidi Weisel. The top three finalists will receive modeling contracts from Wilhelmina Modeling Agency. More Model Search entrants will have an opportunity to meet Judy Goss, castings and bookings editor for More Magazine, as well as previous winners Patricia Neville and Paula O'Conner.
• Vintage Tour: The Junior League of Las Vegas is offering a public tour of the Junior League's mid-century modern Morelli House on Nov.10 from 1 to 4 p.m. The open house will feature a fall vintage clothing exhibit from the collection of Diane Bush and Steven Baskin. The Open House tour and exhibit are free and open to the general public. Reservations are required by Nov. 6 by calling the Junior League office at 822-6536. The Morelli House is located at 861 Bridger Ave.
