IN THE PINK
March 14, 2008 - 9:00 pm
While the German fashion house Escada has only been on the scene since 1976, already it has made an impact on the way the world views fashion. From its classic blazers to its fabulous pink, Escada came to be a household name in 1982 when Vogue dedicated an entire issue to the collection. Escada returned the favor last month during the third annual Opportunity Village Poker Tournament and VIP Reception at Caesars. During a break in the competition, players saw pieces from the spring collection worn by Opportunity Village volunteers at Pure nightclub. The event raised $90,000 for the nonprofit that teaches people with intellectual disabilities to become more independent.
