MAD HATTERS

In fashion, they say that if you can't represent with the dress, do it with a hat. This fall, designers again traipsed hats down the runways in hopes that the fashion forward would add them as that final accessory for the ladylike look. Indeed, before the turn of the 21st century, women changed their hats depending on the activity. In fact, etiquette dictated that it was disgraceful to even leave the house without a hat and gloves. For a very chic look, go for a short-brimmed hat with a bright ribbon. On more casual days when you just don't feel like styling your hair, the baseball cap provides the perfect accessory. And for going out, make it patent leather for a bit of panache. No one will ever accuse you of breaking fashion etiquette.
