Shout, Shout, Let It All Out
It's the season of the heel, that portion of the shoe that normally goes unnoticed or contains an accoutrement such as stiletto, wedge or ballet meant to describe function more than delight the eye. Not so this season. No, the heel must be noticed, whether it comes in a conical shape with a stack of color, a petal blooming or a wave of shape.
The handbag screams for its share of attention as well, beckoning with its array of colors, not softly slipping into the dance to hide in the shadows, but boisterous in its exultation that, "I am handbag, hear me roar." Not the purses for the feint at heart, this season is all about a statement bag, the one that definitely grabs a room, tells a joke and everyone laughs heartily and begs for more.
And jewelry just doesn't seem to want to be considered a third wheel either. Chunky bangles, artful cocktail rings and monster-sized necklaces all stake their own claims at being the center of attention.
Luckily, you can do it all and let it all vie for your eye. And this season's supertrends -- florals, Studio 54, safari -- all lend themselves well for an all-out battle royale for supremacy. May the best accessory win.
