SHOW US YOUR BAG

Name: Ian Jankelowitz

Occupation: Managing director of the CineVegas Film Festival

Occasion: Photographed during a busy day in the CineVegas office

What kind of messenger bag? Brown washed leather Ted Baker messenger bag.

How much did it cost $175.

Where did you get it? Ted Baker store in the Forum Shops at Caesars.

What does your messenger bag say about you? The bag reflects my personality and sense of style. It shows a level of professionalism coupled with playfulness. I also liked that it matches with everything from a suit down to jeans and a trendy T-shirt.

Why did you buy this messenger bag? I am a big Ted Baker fan and have a range of their shirts, pants and suits. This bag was an add-on when I was doing a big purchase of winter clothing at the store before going snowboarding, although it's not related to snow boarding at all!

What do you like about this messenger bag? It was the perfect size to hold my laptop and not seem bulky or dorky like some computer bags can look. I also loved the fact that it has a vintage, worn look although it's actually new. The old school buckles also remind me of a school bag or something I would have seen my grandfather carrying to work in Australia.

What other types of messenger bags/briefcases do you have? I own a few CineVegas branded bags from past festivals. I'm yet to work a job that requires a proper briefcase, luckily!

What's the most you ever paid for a messenger bag/briefcase? $400 for an amazing Paul Smith messenger bag. When my sister started university in Australia she stole it and refused to give it back

Image is ... more about the kind of person you are than what you wear. People may remember the cool shirt you wore for a day, but they will remember the kind deed that you did for them all of their lives.

What's in your messenger bag? Clockwise from left: My ibook, I love being able to carry it around and pull up e-mails as I need them. It also just looks so good.

Ray-Ban sunglasses -- living in the Vegas and the desert sun I always try to keep my eyes covered, and they are really cool glasses.

My BlackBerry, I'm a total BlackBerry addict, putting it in my bag makes me avoid the urge to check it when the red light starts flashing.

Extreme, Paul Smith. Paul Smith is one of my favorite designers and since he released his fragrance a few years ago I rarely wear anything else. Always handy to carry cologne with you, especially when it smells this good

Havaianas, my favorite brand of thongs in the world. They are so comfortable I switch into them most days after work. With summer rolling around there's nothing better then having a pair of thongs close by to put on in case I can get close to a pool.

The New Yorker, in my opinion the best magazine being published in the world. The editorial content blows me away each week, and it's great to read while waiting for friends or clients. Also helps when meeting important clients; they think I'm fairly intellectual.

Heeb Magazine, an amazing up-and-coming publication published out of New York. Its content is always irreverent and fascinating. Having it out is always a conversation starter especially given the title.
