SHOW US YOUR PURSE
March 7, 2008 - 10:00 pm
• Name: Brandy Wood
• Occupation: Artist
• Occasion: Performing in the "V-Day" community production March 7-8 at 7 p.m.
• What kind of handbag: Kathy.
• How much did it cost? Like most my favorite fashionable accessories, it was a gift.
• Tell us about the first handbag you ever bought: It must have been after college, on the streets of New York.
• Why did you choose this handbag today? It is my favorite -- neutral colors that go with most of my wardrobe.
• What do you like about this handbag? It fits my books, wallet and has enough room for anything else I decide to bring along. I love the jewelry on it too!
• How many handbags do you own? Four or five, I think. I use two.
• What's the most you ever paid for a handbag? (I paid) $60 in Amsterdam. It was made and handpainted by a local artist.
• Image is...always changing. Each day you can wake up and decide what you want to wear, how you want to feel, and who you want the people you don't know to think you are. It's art; it's an individual perception and another's interpretation.
• What's in your handbag: Clockwise from top: eyeglasses, referback.com business card holder, relic black leather wallet, tickets for the community production of "V-Day," "The Glass Castle" by Jeannette Walls and charcoal pencils.
