SHOW US YOUR PURSE
November 23, 2007 - 10:00 pm
• Name: Kindra Alexander-Knoll
• Occupation: Pole dancing instructor for Stripper 101 at the V Theater
• Occasion: I teach seven days a week
• What kind of handbag? Lucky Brand Bag.
• How much did it cost? $89.
• Where did you get it? Lucky Store in Las Vegas.
• Tell us about the first handbag you ever bought. The first real bag I ever purchased was a Gucci Bordeaux. It cost around $650 and I loved it! I bought the bag back in 2002 ... before husband and baby ... that was prime purse-buying time. Now I have to worry about having such expensive things in the house. Will my son leave me mushy yogurt or wet macaroni presents in my $500 Dior?
• What do you like about this handbag? It looks good, yet it is still very practical.
• How many handbags do you own? I now own around 14 purses in all shapes sizes and brands.
• What's the most you ever paid for a handbag? Probably the Gucci Bordeaux, it cost around $650.
• Image is ... remembering that image isn't everything, yet trying to remember when you had an image. Don't get me wrong, I had my bag and shoe heyday for many years. Purses, shoes and accessories are great during the "me" time of life. However, after the babies come, they will quickly remind you who comes first. They have no qualms about throwing your image out the door, and forcing you to trade that chic Salvatore Ferragamo for an overstuffed Eddie Bauer diaper bag. (sigh)......Image is feeling good every day. The dancer in me reminds herself to feel sexy, naked and confident no matter what I'm wearing or what purse I'm carrying!
• What's in your handbag? Clockwise from top: Sunglasses, Bruce, Louis Vuitton wallet, Canon Powershot Digital Elph camera, Samsung cell phone and digital Realtor key.
