WIDE OUT

Few articles of clothing have found such permanence in fashion as denim, that fabric that can get you through so many style scenarios that it's no longer a must-have, it's a staple. But like everything in fashion, jeans goes through its phases, whether its bootcut, skinny, low-rider, high-waisted or boyfriend.

This fall calls for wide legs, the silhouette of the moment. Wide legs can enhance even the curviest of figures and with the right shoes (think pointed) can make your legs looks as if they go on forever. Here's a look at four ways to wear wide-legged jeans that will get you through nearly every style situation.

WORK IT OUT

Casual Fridays are the perfect opportunity to don a pair of tailored denim wide-legged pants in a dark wash. Pick a blouse with a bow at the collar to up the chic-quotient and make your waist look even more narrow, one of the plusses of wide-legged jeans. Accessories such as a pair of patent leather pumps or a patent leather handbag will add some sleekness to your attire as well. On cooler days, opt for a waist-cinching trench coat to complete the look.

PLAY IT OUT

Weekends are the perfect time to curl up in a pair of winter white wide-legged jeans paired with fall's hot color, gray, and hot trend, sweaters. Again, as with a bow at the collar, a cowlneck will make your waist appear even skinnier. A pair of Mary Janes will add to that casual feel, while a large handbag will make your shopping outfit complete.

DINE IT OUT

Lunch with your friends doesn't mean you should ignore fashion and go sloppy. You can wear a pair of classic wide-legged blue jeans with a silk kimono top that will accentuate your waistline. A statement necklace or cuff tops off the look, making you chic but not uptight.

TAKE IT OUT

After hours doesn't have to mean a skirt or dress. Wear gray denim wide-legged jeans with a form-fitting tuxedo jacket and camisole for a truly dramatic look. Gold platform shoes and a mirrored cuff will only add to the mood.
