YOU MAKE ME FEEL LIKE DANCING

It only lasted for three short years beginning in 1977, but the infamous Studio 54 in New York City put its stamp on fashion. On any given night, you could find the likes of Mick and Bianca Jagger, Cher, Diana Ross, Liza Minnelli, Halston, Calvin Klein, Elton John, Andy Warhol, Michael Jackson, Brooke Shields, newlyweds Donald and Ivana Trump, Truman Capote and Jerry Hall dancing the night away to the phenomenal light and sound show at the disco.

Studio 54 had far more than 15 minutes of fame. In fact, the relaunch of the Halston collection this spring spurred fashion designers to look back to that era where the drugs were just as common as the alcohol and sex. And this is a look you can wear to our own Studio 54 at the MGM Grand. Here's how to get back to the disco era.

SLINK FACTOR

When disco balls started lighting up, fashion responded with slinky dresses that worked well on the dance floor. Go for an ode to Bianca Jagger with a long evening dress in white or a duplicate of the Jerry Hall look with a plunging neckline in metallic. If those looks ring too true to the 1970s, go for an asymmetrical chiffon dress with a winged arm or a wrap dress that shows your legs up to there. Just keep in mind that this look is all about light and easy. You'll be dancing, after all.

DANCING QUEEN

Nothing without a heel will work for this look. Choose a peep-toe shoe with a stacked platform to truly do your own version of the California Hustle.

IN THE BAG

You never wanted a handbag without personality at Studio 54. After all, you only needed the essentials for a night there. Look for a clutch in metallic or patent leather, or find a piece with a distinct personality that will make you stand out.

STACK 'EM HIGH

The Studio 54 look wasn't just about the dress; you had to have the right accessories to pin down the look. Look for bangles with a disco vibe to add the finishing touch to this look.

LIPS LIKE SUGAR

With Mick and Bianca spending so much time at Studio 54, it only seems appropriate to don a necklace with the Rolling Stones Tongue and Lip design logo from their "Sticky Fingers" album designed by their daughter, Jade.
