You saw the shows; show us the shirts
June 8, 2014 - 2:54 pm
There are articles of clothing that no matter how tattered, no matter how faded, no matter how unsuitable for one’s current dimensions, that simply can’t be discarded.
Wedding dresses. Military uniforms.
And concert T-shirts.
We all have ’em, stashed somewhere in the dark recesses of a closet or piled under a bed, those T-shirts we bought at our very first concert, the T-shirt we wore to school our entire freshman year, those T-shirts we bought to commemorate the concert that we and whomever we were dating at the time figured we’d show our grandkids someday.
Amazing how a simple item of apparel can hold so many memories, isn’t it?
Now, as summer concert season kicks into high gear, we’d like to take a look at your favorite concert T-shirt and hear the story behind it. Just send along a quick photo of the shirt and a brief description of the story behind it. We’ll follow up with a few of the owners for an upcoming story in the Las Vegas Review-Journal Living section.
Send your photos and stories via email to jprzybys@reviewjournal.com (and make sure to include “T-Shirt Stories” in the subject line).
Or, send your photos and stories to: T-Shirt Stories, Features Department, Las Vegas Review-Journal, P.O. Box 70, Las Vegas, NV, 89125-0070.
Either way, be sure to also include your name, age, address and daytime phone number so we can get back to you.
Get them to us ASAP, because summer’s a-wastin’. (The deadline for submissions is June 16.)
And, in the meantime: Rock on.
