Las Vegas health officials report child dies of flu

Health officials in Las Vegas say a 4-month-old boy has died of flu.

A Southern Nevada Health District released a statement Wednesday saying that other details about the death were not available because of patient privacy.

Officials with the Las Vegas-based district say people should get flu shots and are offering shots at public health centers and clinics throughout the area.

District officials say the clinics are open to anyone over 6 months old.
