Mum society to host master gardener

The Las Vegas Chrysanthemum Society will present a program with master gardener Linn Mills at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Nevada Garden Clubs Center, 3333 W. Washington Ave.

During the meeting, Mills will discuss container gardening. A question and answer session will follow his presentation.

All are welcome to attend.

Flower arranging workshops planned

The Ikenobo Ikebana Nevada Chapter will meet April 12 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Two workshops will be presented during the meeting, both focusing on Futakabuike, a double shoka using two types or two different materials. These types of Japanese floral arrangements incorporate two styles, using various combinations of water and land plants.

The planned sessions will focus on land-water combinations.
