MUSIC

Christ Episcopal Church, 2000 S. Maryland Parkway, will present an organ concert with Ty Woodward at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Woodward, a representative of Schantz Organ Co., will perform on the church's pipe organ. Tickets are $15, and may be purchased in advance or at the door (735-7655).

EVENTS

First Henderson United Methodist Church will have its annual Nevada Day celebration featuring bounce houses, carnival rides, games, a craft fair, chili cook-off, food and other activities, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. today in the church parking lot at 609 E. Horizon Drive, Henderson.

Warm Springs Baptist Church, 2075 Warm Springs Road, Henderson, will host the free "Crazy Fall Festival" featuring trick-or-treating and game booths for kids of all ages 5-8 p.m. Sunday (361-7070).

Christ the King Catholic Community will have its annual auction and wine tasting event at 7 p.m. Friday in the campus gymnasium at 4925 S. Torrey Pines Drive. The CNT Sisterhood of Congregation Ner Tamid will have its annual Hanukkah bazaar featuring Judaica items including jewelry, specialty menorahs and Hanukkah items; kitchen items; holiday gifts; a book fair; and other items, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Nov. 7 at 55 N. Valle Verde Drive, Henderson (733-6292).

The Jewish Community Center of Southern Nevada will host the Jewish Book Festival Nov. 7 and 14. The festival will feature authors Laurie Ann Levin and Elisa New Nov. 7 at Congregation Ner Tamid, 55 N. Valle Verde Drive, Henderson. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. On Nov. 14, the festival will feature authors Daniel Levin, and Annabelle Gurwitch and Jeff Kahn at the Jewish Community Center of Southern Nevada, 9001 Hillpointe Road.
