MUSIC
Mountain View Presbyterian Church, 8601 Del Webb Blvd., will present the free family concert "From Russia: With Art" featuring music by mezzo soprano Valeria Sokoloa Ore, guitarist Eugene Shapiro and pianist Albina Asryan at 3 p.m. Sunday. Watercolor paintings of Russia by Elena Wherry will be on display prior to the performance. Admission is free, but a goodwill offering will be received (341-7800).
Green Valley Presbyterian Church, 1798 Wigwam Parkway, Henderson, will present its annual "Do-It-Yourself Handel's 'Messiah,' " featuring the Las Vegas Peoples Valley Chorus and the Musica Lumina Chamber Orchestra, at 7 p.m. Dec. 8. A goodwill offering will be received. The event is a fundraising effort for St. Therese Center in Henderson. Rehearsals will be at 10 a.m. today, Nov. 27 and Dec. 4, and 7 p.m. Dec. 1.
