EVENTS

St. Anne Catholic Church and School, will have its annual Fun Fair featuring fellowship, games, bounce houses and a giant slide, contests, prizes, a drawing, a silent auction, a variety of food items, and live entertainment with DJs, mariachis, dancing and other activities, 10 a.m.-10 p.m. today on the school grounds at 1813 S. Maryland Parkway. Admission is free (735-0510).

Trinity United Methodist Church, 6151 W. Charleston Blvd., will have a fall festival and yard sale 8 a.m.-3 p.m. today (870-4747).

St. Francis of Assisi Parish will have its Feast Day Festival featuring food booths, a bocce ball tournament, a dog show, "sports bar" area for viewing games, a boutique and book booth, and live entertainment, 8 a.m.-8 p.m. today and Sunday at 2300 Sunridge Heights Parkway, Henderson. The event also will have children's activities, including ponies, a pumpkin walk, jump houses, games and prizes. The blessing of the animals will be at 3 p.m. Sunday. The event will raise funds for the parish's church and Catholic school (914-2175).

The Women of St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Roman Catholic Church will have their annual Day of Recollection at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 9 in the Catholic Center at 7260 W. Sahara Ave. Mass will be at 9 a.m., followed by a continental breakfast. The Rev. John McShane will give talks on Mary MacKillop, Australia's first saint, and on forgiveness. St. Sharbel Maronite Catholic Mission will host the annual Lebanese American Festival 5-11 p.m. Friday, 4-11 p.m. Oct. 9 and noon-8 p.m. Oct. 10 on the mission's grounds at 10325 Rancho Destino Road. The festival will feature food, games and activities. A blood drive will take place noon-4 p.m. Oct. 10. Admission to the festival is $3, children younger than 12 are admitted free. All proceeds will benefit the mission's programs (616-6902).

Green Valley Presbyterian Church, 1798 Wigwam Parkway, Henderson, will have its Gingerbread Fair and Pantry, featuring handmade items, baked goods and activities, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 9. The church's youth group will have a swap meet 7 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 16. Parking spaces to sell items are available for $10-$25. The funds will help the youth group with fees for summer camps and mission trips. The group also will accept donations to sell at the swap meet. Items may be dropped off on Oct. 15 (454-8484).

The Interfaith Council of Southern Nevada will present five interfaith forums at various locations Oct. 10-Nov. 14. The series will end with an interfaith Thanksgiving service at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 21 at Congregation Ner Tamid, 55 N. Valle Verde Drive, Henderson. The first forum, "Where Did We Come From, Why Are We Here, And Where Are We Going?" will be offered at 7 p.m. Oct. 10 at the Baha'i Center, 7035 W. Jesus the Good Shepherd Anglican Church will hold its annual Blessing of the Animals at 9 a.m. Sunday at O'Callaghan Park, 601 Skyline Road, Henderson. All creatures, including dogs, cats, birds, lizards, horses, hamsters, fish, tortoises and others, are welcome.
