MUSIC

The Church Music Tour featuring the David Crowder Band, Danyew and Seabird, will visit Canyon Ridge Christian Church, 6200 W. Lone Mountain Road, at 7 p.m. Thursday. General admission tickets are $27 (800-965-9324).

The chamber music ensemble Musica Lumina will perform at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 10 at Green Valley Presbyterian Church, 1798 Wigwam Parkway, Henderson. The concert is free, but a freewill offering will be accepted (454-8484).

The Philippine Madrigal Singers choir will perform at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 11 at Guardian Angel Cathedral, 302 Cathedral Way. Tickets are $20. Proceeds will benefit the Midnight Mass TV Ministry and Cathedral Choir Ministry (735-5241, ext. 5241).

EVENTS

Green Valley Presbyterian Church, 1798 Wigwam Parkway, Henderson, will have a "Blessing of the Animals" at 5 p.m. Sunday in the outdoor auditorium. All pets must be restrained by a leash or in a cage or bowl. There also will be a blood drive Sunday from 9 a.m. to noon. St. Anne Catholic Church will have its annual Fun Fair featuring games, contests, prizes, a silent auction, drawing, food, mariachis, live entertainment and other activities, 10 a.m.-10 p.m. today on the church's school grounds at 1813 S. Maryland Parkway (735-0510).

Green Valley Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1799 Wigwam Parkway, Henderson, will host a debate on "Atheism vs. Christianity" at 6 p.m. today. The debate will feature William Ramsey, associate professor of philosophy at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and Steve Gregg, author and radio show host of "The Narrow Path," a Christian talk show (454-8979).

Guardian Angel Cathedral, 336 Cathedral Way, will have its annual Oktoberfest featuring entertainment, food, crafts, drawings and bake sales, noon-8 p.m. today and 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday. Proceeds will benefit the Christmas midnight Mass telecast (735-5241).

The 62nd annual session of the Nevada/California Interstate Missionary Baptist Convention will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Victory Baptist Church, 500 W. Monroe Ave. The registration fee is $50 unless a participant's church has paid its 2009-2010 annual fee (565-0071).

Trinity United Methodist Church, 6151 W. Charleston Blvd., will present "Hope is Here!" featuring Big Fish Story Ministries with the Rev. Michael Chamness, the Rev. Brian Riecke and their band at 7 p.m. Wednesday through Oct. 10 and 10 a.m. Sunday (870-4747).
