EVENTS

The United Methodist Church, 1300 E. Highway 327, Pahrump, will have a "9-11 Remembrance" day beginning at 8:30 a.m. Sept. 11. The day will open with a memorial dedication and flag raising, which will be followed by a brief message and reflection or prayer beginning at 9 a.m. and repeating every half-hour. Various ministers from local communities will present messages throughout the day with the last half-hour service at 6:30 p.m. (775-727-6767).

SERVICES

Reformation Lutheran Church, 580 E. St. Louis Ave., will host The Gospel Quartet at the 9:30 a.m. service Sunday. An ice cream social will follow (732-2052).

The Bikolnon Association of Las Vegas will have a novena in honor of Our Lady of Penafrancia at 4 p.m. Sundays through Sept. 20 at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 220 N. 14th St. (657-8514).

MEETINGS

The Sathya Sai Baba Devotional Singing Group meets at 5 p.m. Sundays at 1128 Triumph Court (461-8655).

The Secular Franciscans of St. Margaret of Cortona fraternity meets at 12:30 p.m. the fourth Sunday of the month at Pace E Bene offices, 1420 W. Bartlett Ave. (453-2417).

CLASSES

Temple Sinai, 9001 Hillpointe Road, offers classes to members and the general public on various Sundays each month (254-5110).

The Las Vegas Diamond Way Buddhist Group offers guided meditation and dharma talks at 7:45 p.m. Thursdays (260-4426).

SINGLES GROUPS

The Jewish Community Center of Southern Nevada, Temple Sinai and Congregation Ner Tamid offer a variety of programs for Jewish singles of all ages in Las Vegas and Henderson. For details, call the Jewish Community Center at 794-0090, Temple Sinai at 254-5110 or Congregation Ner Tamid at 733-6292.

New Life Christian Center has a singles meeting at 7 p.m. the second Friday of the month at 1229 E. Carson Ave. (387-5433).

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church sponsors singles groups for professionals 25 to 45 years old and a singles group for people 45 and older (228-8311, Ext. 7333 or 7334).

Single Adults Learning Together, or SALT Ministries of CornerStone Christian Fellowship, meets at 6 p.m. Saturdays at 5825 W. Eldora Ave. (871-5050).
