MUSIC

University of Nevada, Las Vegas vocal students will present a classical music recital at 7:30 p.m. today at Green Valley Presbyterian Church, 1798 Wigwam Parkway, Henderson. The students will attend the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria, this summer. A freewill donation will be accepted to help support the students (454-8484).

Mountain View Presbyterian Church, 8601 Del Webb Blvd., will have a free Mother's Day Concert featuring soloist Lakesha Harden, the Glen Willow Trio and vocalists Mark Wherry and Voltaire Versoza at 3 p.m. Sunday. A freewill offering will be accepted to help support Harden's travel expenses to Europe for the American Insitute of Musical Studies opera program (341-7800).

"Clarence Darrow's Search for Justice," featuring Gary Anderson, will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Friday and May 16 at Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Las Vegas, 3316 E. Lake Mead Blvd. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. A reception will be at 6:30 both nights featuring wine, hors d'oeuvres and preferred seating. The receptions are limited to 25 people, and the fee is $25 (228-3969).

The Women of St. Joseph Husband of Mary Roman Catholic Church will have a '50s Rock & Roll Party featuring dancing and "Elvis of Vegas" at 5:30 p.m. May 16 in the Catholic Center Hall, 7260 W. Sahara Ave. Tickets are $10, which includes a meal. For reservations, call 889-0860.
