MUSIC

The Unity Band and Singers of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) will present a multimedia worship concert at 7 p.m. Sunday at 101 S. Rancho Drive. Admission is free (384-1544).

The music department of First Presbyterian Church of Las Vegas, 1515 W. Charleston Blvd., will have "Ceremonial Hymns: A Hymn Festival with Fanfares and Narration" at the 8:30 and 11 a.m. services Oct. 14 (384-4554).

SERVICES

St. George's Anglican Church, 7676 W. Gilmore Ave., will celebrate the feast of St. Francis of Assisi with a blessing of the animals at 4 p.m. today on the church patio. The event is open to the public and people can bring their pets for a blessing and a treat (395-4576).

EVENTS

Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court Our Lady of the Rosary 2226 will host its annual fashion show luncheon from noon to 3 p.m. today at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4490 Mountain Vista Road. Tickets are $20 (458-2211).

St. Sharbel Maronite Catholic Mission of Las Vegas will host its annual Lebanese American Festival from 5 to 11 p.m. Friday, 4 to 11 p.m. Oct. 13 and noon to 8 p.m. Oct. 14 on the mission's grounds at 10325 Rancho Destino Road. The event will feature rides, games, food and other activities. Admission is $3; children younger than 12 are free. Proceeds will benefit the mission's community outreach programs and new school (616-6902).

Community Lutheran Church, 3720 E. Tropicana Ave., will have a fall festival and craft expo from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 13. The event will feature arts and crafts, a cake walk, silent auctions, children's activities, food and drawings (458-2241).

First Christian Church of Las Vegas (Disciples of Christ), 101 S. Rancho Drive, will have its annual Oasis Fall Festival craft event featuring handmade crafts, holiday items, jewelry, quilts, food and other items, from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 13 and 12:30 to 4 p.m. Oct. 14. The craft festival will also include drawings, a farmers market, children's games, a petting zoo, pony rides and other activities. Admission is free (384-1544).

Green Valley Presbyterian Church, 1798 Wigwam Parkway, Henderson, will have its annual Gingerbread Fair & Pantry from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 13. The event will feature arts and crafts, holiday and fall decorations, baked goods and other items (454-8484).

University United Methodist Church, 4412 S. Maryland Parkway, will have a bake sale featuring homemade baked goods, Halloween arts and crafts, knitted and crocheted items, kitchen towel sets, jewelry and other items, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 14 (733-7157).

The youth group of Green Valley Presbyterian Church will have a swap meet and carwash from 7 a.m. to noon Oct. 20 at 1798 Wigwam Parkway, Henderson. For the swap meet, parking spaces are available for a $10 fee for church members and $25 for other vendors. Donations will be accepted at the church beginning Oct. 19 (454-8484, ext. 245).

Desert Spring United Methodist Church's women's group will have a holiday bazaar from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 20 at 120 N. Pavilion Center Drive. The bazaar will feature handcrafted items, handmade jewelry, knitted and crocheted accessories, quilts, holiday decorations, baby clothes, preserves and jellies, among other items, (256-5933).

CLASSES

The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Las Vegas, 3616 E. Lake Mead Blvd., will offer a free class on the principles and history of its liberal religious traditon at noon Sunday (878-0443).

Reformation Lutheran Church, 580 E. St. Louis Ave., offers English as a Second Language conversational classes at 10 a.m. Tuesdays and Saturdays (541-1952 or 732-2052).

Community Baptist Church, 245 E. Foster Ave., Henderson, offers a free reading program for all ages from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays (565-0071).

SINGLES GROUPS

The Jewish Community Center of Southern Nevada, Temple Sinai and Congregation Ner Tamid offer a variety of programs for Jewish singles of all ages in Las Vegas and Henderson. For details, call the Jewish Community Center at 794-0090, Temple Sinai at 254-5110 or Congregation Ner Tamid at 733-6292.

New Life Christian Center has a singles meeting at 7 p.m. the second Friday of the month at 1229 E. Carson Ave. (387-5433).

Single Adults Learning Together, or SALT Ministries of CornerStone Christian Fellowship, meets at 6 p.m. Saturdays at 5825 W. Eldora Ave. (871-5050).
