Best Friends Animal Society: Volunteers needed for various customer-service positions for the Super Adoption event Oct. 20.

Boys Hope Girls Hope of Nevada: Volunteers needed for Divas for Hope program to mentor Hope scholars and to organize and/or host small fundraising events.

Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth: Street Outreach program volunteers needed for distribution of food, backpacks, toiletries, blankets and other items.

Spring Mountain Ranch State Park: Docents needed for four-hour shifts once a month any day between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Training is provided.

State Health Insurance Advisory Program: Volunteers needed to assist Medicare beneficiaries with their questions and problems. Training is provided.

St. Jude's Ranch for Children: Volunteers needed to work two to four hours a day on weekdays in the gift shop, chapel, reception desk, landscaping and maintenance.

Volunteer Center of Southern Nevada: Volunteers including individuals, groups and families needed for Make a Difference Day Serve-A-Thon Hands on the Valley Oct. 27 for various projects such as painting, landscaping, planting trees and cleanup at five project sites across Clark County.
