The Las Vegas man who died Friday morning after his vehicle crashed into a wall has been identified by the Clark County coroner.
He was 54-year-old James Mackin, according to the coroner’s office.
Officers were called about 9:15 a.m. Friday to the intersection of North Nellis Boulevard and Kell Lane, near Lake Mead Boulevard, for reports of a crashed 2016 Dodge Dart. Mackin was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The Metropolitan Police Department’s initial investigation showed the Dodge was driving erratically in the northbound Nellis lanes before it crossed the median and continued driving north into the southbound lanes. Mackin drove off the west side of the road and hit a wall head-on, police said.
Mackin’s cause and manner of death have not yet been ruled by the county coroner.
