Man dies in crash in eastern Las Vegas Valley

A man died after a traffic crash on Carey Avenue and Mount Hood Street on Monday night.

The wreck, reported at 7:06 p.m., involved two vehicles, the Metropolitan Police Department said.

Two minutes before the crash, police received a reckless driver call. Impairment is suspected for at least one party involved, but investigators did not confirm which party as of 9 p.m.

The man who died was 60 to 70 years old, police said. The county coroner will name him once his family has been notified.
