Updated June 12, 2020 - 5:07 pm

Police said a pedestrian was killed after she was struck by a vehicle early Friday in east Las Vegas.

The Metropolitan Police Department said a 2004 Infinity G35 was southbound on Boulder Highway about 12:15 a.m. when it struck a woman who was crossing at Tropicana Avenue in a marked crosswalk.

Sequoia Lee, 36, of Las Vegas died at the scene, according to the Clark County coroner’s office. She died from blunt force trauma, and her death was ruled an accident.

The 19-year-old Las Vegas man driving the Infinity stayed at the scene, police said, and impairment was not suspected.

Police said the crash remains under investigation.

Lee’s death marked the 40th traffic-related fatality in Las Vegas police jurisdiction this year.
