CCSD experiences issue with internet connection

Updated October 28, 2024 - 7:01 pm

The Clark County School District experienced an issue with its internet connectivity on Monday, though it was restored by the afternoon.

“We are currently experiencing problems with the District’s Internet connection. Staff and vendor support engineers are working to resolve the problem as promptly as possible,” the district said in a statement a little after noon.

In the evening, CCSD said that internet service had been restored, but it did not provide a time frame for how long it had experienced the difficulty.

The district also did not provide any cause or further description of the issue.

CCSD gets internet service through Cox Communications.

“It is beyond CCSD and even beyond Cox. Connectivity is intermittent making it difficult to get work done but I can’t fault CCSD or anyone there for this one,” CCSD Technology employee Hunter Nolen wrote in a message to the Las Vegas Review-Journal at 1 p.m.
