Voters in Las Vegas and North Las Vegas will not have to travel more than 3½ miles to cast ballots in city elections Tuesday. The two cities are debuting voting centers for Tuesday’s primary elections, aimed at augmenting accessibility for voters.

Henderson couple takes swing at batting-cage business

It took a lot for Carol Ruegge to convince her husband, Dave, to start an indoor batting cage. The Ruegges believe their Vegas Valley Batter’s Box, 7370 Eastgate Road, Suite 100, will pay off. “Batting cages haven’t been around (in Henderson) for 12 years,” Carol said. “There’s a need for them.”
