Updated March 7, 2018 - 5:15 pm

A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash Tuesday night in Henderson, police said.

A vehicle hit a woman about 8:25 p.m. near Galleria Drive between Boulder Highway and Burns Avenue, Henderson Police Department spokesman Scott Williams said. The driver fled the scene of the crash, police said.

The woman was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center where she later died, Williams said. The Clark County coroner’s office will release the woman’s name once her family has been notified of her death.

The vehicle that hit her was described as a gray or silver Dodge Caravan or Chrysler Town and Country between the model years of 2004 and 2007.

This marks Henderson’s first traffic-related death of 2018.
