Las Vegas festival celebrates pets, benefits shelters — PHOTOS

Pets and their owners got a chance to spend some quality time together at the Family, Fur and Fun Festival held Saturday at Mountain’s Edge’s Exploration Park in southwest Las Vegas.

The event, a benefit for animal shelters and rescues in Southern Nevada, included pet adoption opportunities, an Ask-the-Vet information table, dog sport demonstrations, and contests, including musical paws (a version of musical chairs) and a Halloween pet costume contest.
