Nove Italiano at the Palms, 4321 W. Flamingo Road, plans to host a Mother's Day cooking class with chef Geno Bernardo at noon May 12.

Coasta Cantina plans to offer its special menu from 4 to 10 p.m. for $15.99 per person. The appetizer will be shrimp soup or salad, followed by entree choices of enchiladas nortenas or rib-eye el Patron. Dessert will be margarita cheesecake.

Courtyard Café plans to offer its special menu from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. for $12.99 per person. The menu includes choice of soup or salad and features entree choices of Land and Sea Duet (flat iron steak and fried jumbo shrimp), stuffed salmon or prime rib.

The French Market Buffet will serve a Mother's Day champagne buffet from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for $14.99 for B Connected members and $15.99 for nonmembers. The dinner menu will be offered from 4 to 9 p.m.

The Prime Rib Loft plans to serve its special brunch menu from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. featuring sparkling wine, Mimosas and Bloody Marys. Specialty entree choices are bananas Foster French toast for $22, lobster Benedict for $29, breakfast feast for $22, Parmesan-crusted orange roughy for $24, Louisiana crab cakes and poached eggs for $28, filet and golden potato cakes for $30, grilled free range chicken breast paillarde for $24 and asparagus and wild mushroom frittata for $22.

GOLD COAST PLANS MOTHER'S DAY MENUS

The Cortez Room at the Gold Coast, 4000 W. Flamingo Road, plans to offer a Mother's Day menu from 3 to 9 p.m. May 13.

The menu features choice of appetizer (corn chowder or vegetable and cheese platter), choice of entree (seared swordfish or mixed grill) and dessert. The cost is $31 per person.

The Ports O'Call Buffet will be $13.99 for B Connected members and $15.99 for nonmembers from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for brunch and 4 to 9 p.m. for dinner.

SILVERTON TO HOST FOODIE FEST

The Silverton, 3333 Blue Diamond Road, plans to host the Las Vegas Foodie Fest from noon to 11 p.m. Saturday and noon to 9 p.m. Sunday.

A VIP champagne reception is planned for 6 p.m. The event will help raise funds to support SOS's efforts to end childhood hunger in the Las Vegas Valley and across the nation.
