Bees send two to hospital in southeast valley

Two people have been hospitalized, one in critical condition, after being attacked by a swarm of bees in the southeast valley Thursday morning.

The bees swarmed when landscapers disturbed their hive, Las Vegas police said,

Police closed Hacienda Avenue between Eastern Avenue and Topaz Street about 10:15 a.m. The area was later reopened to motorists when it was no longer a hazard to the public.

Clark County firefighters responded to the scene and attempted to disperse the swarm.
