Coroner identifies woman killed in Monday hit-and-run

A woman who died early Monday morning after she was struck by a hit-and-run driver was identified Tuesday by the Clark County coroner's office as 59-year-old Gloria Elizabeth Cruz-Morga.

The Nevada Highway Patrol said Cruz-Morga was hit about 4 a.m. while crossing Boulder Highway near Boulder Station.

The vehicle left the scene. The woman was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where she died.

Trooper Jeremie Elliott said Tuesday that investigators interviewed the driver in question after he came forward. He was not arrested. Elliott said the case was forwarded to the Clark County district attorney's office.
