Crash causes traffic tie-up in Las Vegas airport connector tunnel

Traffic is backed up Thursday morning after a crash in the northbound airport connector tunnel, just after the 215 Beltway, according to a tweet from the Regional Transportation Commission.

No one was injured when two Dodge cars crashed just before 6:20 a.m., Metropolitan Police Department spokesman Jay Rivera said. One person was ticketed.

The crash caused a backup, but a tow truck was requested just after 8:30 a.m.Rivera expected the lanes to be cleared by 9 a.m.
