It may be a strange name for a Chinese restaurant, but this New York-style eatery is, well, yummy. Don't judge a book by its cover. Inside this cozy place are many traditional and familiar tasting entrees, including lemon chicken, orange beef, sweet and sour chicken, moo goo gai pan, Mongolian beef, General Tso's chicken, pepper steak, Kung Pao scallops, cashew chicken, Peking duck and Szechwan shrimp. Other entrees are Yummy House chow mein, chow fun, chop suey, egg foo yong, mu shu and vegetarians dishes such as garlic eggplant with tofu, fried tofu with Yummy sauce, string beans with garlic sauce and Buddha's Delight. Among the chef specials are garlic honey pork chop, beef short rib, New York--style chow mein, Singapore-style rice noodles, seafood delight and Chinese-style beef tenderloin. Several Thai dishes are available, including pad Thai (beef, chicken, pork, shrimp), tom yum kung and beef or chicken chili mint. Lunch specials are $5.50 and are served from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday with an entree, steamed or fried rice, soup of the day and a crab rangoon. Chef specials begins at $7.99. Yummy House is open from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 2 to 9:30 p.m. Sunday.
