VALENTINE'S DAY MEAL, CARNIVAL PARTY

Via Brasil Steakhouse, 1225 S. Fort Apache Road, plans to offer a three-course dinner for two for Valentine's Day Friday through Feb. 14.

The meal includes the gourmet salad/appetizer bar, full rodizio of meats and sides and a Valentine's dessert of chocolate-covered strawberries and a select bottle of wine for $125. Double date with another couple and receive two complimentary desserts (one per couple).

On Feb. 18, Via Brasil Steakhouse plans to celebrate the famous Brazilian party with rodizio dinner, live music, a disc jockey, Samba dancers and more. The event is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. The cost is $45 in advance or $50 the day of the event based on availability. Seating is limited.

The Carmel Room at the Rampart Casino, 221 N. Rampart Blvd., plans to offer a three-course Valentine's Day dinner after 5 p.m. Friday through Feb. 14.

Starter choices are seafood cocktail, seared scallops or prosciutto Caesar salad, followed by raspberry Chambord sorbet. Entree choices are lobster-stuffed halibut, filet mignon or mixed grille with chicken breast, Wagyu short rib and lamb chop. Dessert is Molten Red Velvet Cake with vanilla bean ice cream. FLEMING'S PRIME STEAKHOUSE PLANS THREE-DAY VALENTINE'S CELEBRATION

Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, 8721 W. Charleston Blvd., plans to host a three-day Valentine's Celebration Sunday through Feb. 14.

Three special entrees will be available: filet mignon and prawns, prime New York strip and king crab, and colossal North Atlantic lobster tail and lobster mac and cheese. Each will be $69.95. Dessert for two, Red Velvet cake with espresso truffles, is $9.50.

LEARN TO ROLL SUSHI AT HACHI

Hachi Modern Japanese, inside Red Rock Resort at 11011 W. Charleston Blvd., offers monthly sushi rolling classes. The next one is set for 6:30 p.m. Feb. 23.

The two-hour class will offer each participant his own work area with all ingredients at arm's length. The cost is $85 per person, plus tax.

2012 DATES

Project Dinner Table has released its event schedule for 2012.

Dinners are scheduled for the following Saturdays: April 14, May 19, June 30, Sept. 8, Oct. 13 and Nov. 11. Dates are subject to change.

The dinners are served family-style at a long, white linen-draped table and feature cuisine by local chefs and growers made from sustainable sources. Each event also benefits a local charity.

THREE SQUARE FOOD BANK TO BENEFIT
FROM RESTAURANT WEEK

Restaurant Week is returning earlier than usual this year, as Three Square food bank has added a spring edition of the culinary event.

Restaurant Week is scheduled from Feb. 27 to March 4 at participating restaurants across the Las Vegas Valley, which will offer prix fixe menus for $20.12, $30.12 or $50.12 to benefit Three Square in fighting hunger in Southern Nevada.
