Las Vegas design center at world market center, 495 S. Grand Central Parkway, Building A-116, 702-270-4400
Mundo, a Spanish word meaning world, is a wonderful reason to visit the World Market Center. This upscale Mexican restaurant has a perfect menu for the prestigious center, and it is where executive chef Robert Solano is creating old-world dishes with modern flavors. Entrees include Wagyu skirt steak fajitas, prime filet mignon (served with green tomatillo, smoke chile sauce and chipotle drizzle), chicken chilaquiles, skirt steak or short rib enchiladas, seared snapper, carnitas and sarape de pollo (chicken with black beans, Manchego cheese, mint chimichurri, guacamole and pico de gallo). Sides include Mexican-style street corn, Mexican risotto and Mundo fries (sweet and Idaho potatoes) with freshly ground ancho chiles. Appetizers include calamari with cilantro-serrano and sweet chipotle dipping sauces and chimichurri skirt steak salad. Dinner entrees average $20 to $30, but prices are subject to change. Mundo is open for lunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday, for dinner 3 to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday, for brunch 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday and for happy hour 3 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday. - Jack Bulavsky
