Batugal is a junior at the College of Engineering at Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y., majoring in material science engineering.
A 2011 graduate of The Meadows School, Batugal is the son of Dr. Oscar Batugal and Preciosa Batugal of Las Vegas.
