Meet Santa from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at Tivoli Village, 302 S. Rampart Blvd. Tivoli plans to pass out bells to children to ring as Santa arrives in a carriage. The Faith Lutheran Jr/Sr High School Theatre Company plans to present "A Christmas Story" at 7 p.m. Dec. 2 and 3 and 4 p.m. Dec. 4 at the school, 2015 S. Hualapai Way. Santa is set to arrive for a tree lighting at 5 p.m. Friday at The District at Green Valley Ranch, 2240 Village Walk Drive. The tree's music light show is scheduled beginning at 5 p.m. daily. From 5 to 8 p.m. Dec. 9-10, the Clark County Museum plans to host Heritage Holidays, a free open house with carolers, hot cocoa, crafts for children and a visit from St. Nick. A scale model holiday railroad display is scheduled to be set up inside the Historic Boulder City Union Pacific Railroad Depot. Houses along Heritage Street are set to be lit up for the event. Celebrate the opening of the new North Las Vegas City Hall at the Christmas tree lighting ceremony planned for 4 p.m. Dec. 1 at 2250 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Members of the North Las Vegas City Council are slated to address crowds in the new Civic Plaza, and live entertainment is planned.

The city of Henderson has scheduled WinterFest from 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 9 and noon to 8 p.m. Dec. 10 at the Henderson Events Plaza, 200 S. Water St. The event is slated to kick off with the arrival of Santa Claus Dec. 9 and the official Henderson Christmas tree lighting ceremony. The parade is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. Dec. 10.
