Opportunity Village's Magical Forest is open from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 5:30 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday through Dec. 31. Admission is $9.75 for adults and $7.75 for children 12 or younger. Toddlers 2 or younger are free. Attraction passports for adults and kids are available starting at $14.25, and season passes are available starting at $25. "A Little Theatre Christmas" is scheduled for 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday on the Las Vegas Little Theatre's main stage, 3920 Schiff Drive. Tickets are $15 for adults, $14 for seniors and students and $5 for children under 16.

The Lakes Association plans to present The Lakes Festival of Lights from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday at The Lakes common area behind Citicorp, 8701 W. Sahara Ave. The holiday celebration includes a car show, crafts for sale, food vendors and a Toys for Tots drive. The grand finale is the Electric Light Boat Parade. The event is free. Mystic Falls Park Winter Wonderland at Sam's Town, 5111 Boulder Highway, offers a free 15-minute winter laser light spectacular at 6, 8 and 10 p.m. nightly through Dec. 23. From 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, the Clark County Museum, 1830 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, plans to host Heritage Holidays, a free open house with carolers, hot cocoa, crafts for children and a visit from St. Nick. A scale-model holiday railroad display is scheduled to be set up inside the Historic Boulder City Union Pacific Railroad Depot. Houses along Heritage Street are set to be lit up for the event. The 50-foot-tall Christmas tree at The District at Green Valley Ranch, 2240 Village Walk Drive, plays holiday tunes every 20 minutes between 5 and 9 p.m. daily during the holidays. Santa is scheduled to be at the main plaza from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays through the holidays. The District also is offering complimentary horse and carriage rides on Main Street between noon and 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

The Village Lake Las Vegas, 30 Strada di Villaggio, is hosting Storytelling with Santa on the Beach. The event is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday with "The Twelve Days of Christmas"; Dec. 17 with "The Tailor's Apprentice"; and Dec. 24 with "The Nutcracker." Enjoy cookies and milk, hot cider and s'mores by the fire pit. Free. The village has opened its floating ice rink for the season. Admission is $15 for adults and $12 for children. Vocalist Annie Meadows is slated to perform a free concert at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Casablanca Ballroom at Loews Lake Las Vegas, 101 Montelago Blvd. Before the concert, Meadows plans to read from one of her children's books from 4 to 4:45 p.m. in the Loews lobby.

The Onyx Theatre, 953 E. Sahara Ave., plans to present David Sedaris' "Santaland Diaries" at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 5 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $20.

The Nevada Conservatory Theatre is scheduled to present Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" Friday through Dec. 18 at the Judy Bayley Theatre, at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, 4505 S. A skating rink is set to join the Springs Preserve's Holiday Spectacular festivities, which include music, lights, holiday treats, crafts and pony rides.
