NEIGHBORHOOD IMPROVEMENT FUNDS
AVAILABLE FROM CITY OF LAS VEGAS

Registered Las Vegas neighborhood associations are encouraged to apply for the Neighborhood Partners Fund grant .

The grant provides up to $5,000 toward improving the quality of a neighborhood. Types of projects that may qualify include senior citizen home-safety programs, murals and landscaping. The deadline to apply is Aug. 9.

Those interested are encouraged to register and attend one of six city workshops. Two sessions are in the downtown area, including one set for
9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Doolittle Community Center, 1950 N. J St., and one slated for 5:30 to
7:30 p.m. July 31 at the East Las Vegas Community/Senior Center, 250 N. Eastern Ave.

TO ADDRESS LABOR LAW

Las Vegas' Economic and Urban Development Department and law firm Lionel Sawyer & Collins plan to host a free business seminar on labor employment legal requirements at

SOCIAL EVENT SET FOR NONPROFIT GROUPS

ICE CREAM SOCIAL PLANNED WEDNESDAY

The Las Vegas Senior Center, 451 E. Bonanza Road, plans an ice cream social from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday for $1 per sundae in celebration of National Ice Cream Month.
