NATIONAL COALITION OF 100 BLACK WOMEN PLANS LOCAL WORKSHOP SATURDAY

The Las Vegas chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women plans to present a workshop on leadership skills from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Kelly Elementary School, 1900 N. J St.

The free event is scheduled to include a continental breakfast, raffle prizes and sessions on mentoring, networking and time management.

SIGN-UPS SET FOR SUMMER CAMPS

Registration for summer camps is set for 8 a.m. Thursday by phone or in person at various city community centers, including the Doolittle Community Center, 1950 N. J St., and the East Las Vegas Community Center, 250 N. Eastern Ave.

Beginning June 11, camps are scheduled for 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday, with no camp sessions July 4.

The cost is $75 per child ages 6 to 15 and $70 for each additional child per family.
