PICK OF THE WEEK:

HAPPY'S PIZZA

300 W. Lake Mead Blvd. at Losee Road, 385-1111

This is a perfect name for a restaurant since pizza is such a happy food. You would think every pizza restaurant would be called Happy's. What will make you even happier is everything else on the menu. You'll find ribs, fried chicken, whole barbecue rotisserie chicken and even a Smorgasbord that comes with barbecue ribs, chicken, jumbo shrimp and spicy perch with fries, coleslaw and bread. Featured pizzas are Spicy Hawaiian, BLT, seafood, veggie, Fiesta (chorizo, ground beef, onion, green peppers, jalapenos), steak and the double-baked Spicy Special with triple pepperoni, double sausage, onions and double cheese. Other items are Happy Dogs (Detroit Coney, Jersey slaw, Italian sausage, Chicago, Cleveland Polish), hamburgers, sandwiches (corned beef on onion roll, chicken pita, Italian beef) and subs such as steak and cheese, club, chicken Parmesan, veggie and roast beef. Among the sides are Cajun or chili cheese fries, fried okra, jalapeno poppers and cheese sticks. Enjoy dessert with peach cobbler or a slice of cake (Red Velvet, lemon, carrot, chocolate). Lunch specials are $5 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Small pizzas begin at $5. Happy's Pizza is open from 10 a.m. to midnight Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday and noon to midnight Sunday.
