Motorcyclist dies after collision with truck

A motorcyclist died early Tuesday morning after he collided with a box truck on U.S. Highway 95 near Cheyenne Avenue.

Christoper Ryan Peistrup, 23, from Las Vegas, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Clark County coroner’s office.

There were no other injuries, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

The southbound lanes on U.S. 95 were partially shut down when the accident occurred at 2:30 a.m. until 7 a.m. All travel lanes have reopened.

Cause and manner of death are still pending, and will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office.
